One of the first people I met when I moved to Colorado in 2012 was Ona. She had just moved from Arizona and I had just moved from Pennsylvania. I was ecstatic when she got engaged to Sam in Alaska this past summer, and it was a no-brainer that we should take engagement photos in the town where our friendship has grown over the past 10 years: Boulder, Colorado!
Ona and Sam are avid hikers, climbers and snowboarders, not to mention huge dog lovers (skip to the end for pup content)! I knew that hiking 20 minutes to a photo location wouldn't be a deal breaker. The three of us had a great conversation as we hit the trail in hiking boots in early October. When we reached our destination Ona transformed into an engagement-ready look with a quick shoe change into suede over-the-knee boots. I think you'll agree that a little hiking can lead to a big payoff with the backdrops we had for their session. Add Ona's incredible vintage fashion style and a whole lotta goofy faces and you get an all-time engagement photo session.
Would you hike 20 minutes for these views? Let me know in the comments.
