I first started talking to Sarah and Tyler when Sarah was planning a visit from England for September 2019. During their relationship they had gone back and forth between Colorado and the United Kingdom, and now that Tyler had proposed they were planning a wedding in London - coincidentally for the same July weekend as my own wedding! Wanting to honor both of their homes, they contacted me to do their engagement session in the same place there Tyler had popped the question: Golden Gate Canyon State Park. If you're looking for aspen groves near Denver, let me tell you - this is the spot! I've camped there in September and done sessions there and the aspens are always poppin. I loved that they showed up in their coziest fall sweaters ready to laugh, spin, piggy back, dance, and frolic through the golden yellow leaves. We ended at sunset at the overlook where we witnessed the fieriest sunset I had seen in a long time. It was serene and breathtaking, and the perfect unusual and sensational end to their engagement photo session.
