What started as two college kids in North Carolina - a fly fisherman and a dancer, a Steelers fan and a Patriots fan - over time has become a husband and wife. Tom and Cece were married in September 2017 in the mountains on one of Colorado's bizarre weather days where temperatures plummeted and it snowed. They laughed through microphone issues, unusual weather, and any other little mishaps on their wedding day and their photographs radiate joy. When their first anniversary rolled around, we decided to make the most of a warm late summer evening together. The weather could not have been more different than their wedding day! We began in the tall grasses of Chautauqua Park in the most adorable felt fedora with live flowers from Fawn's Leap. Tom scooped up his bride and whirled her around, probably crushing his boutonniere and losing a suspender strap - it was perfect. When the sun started to set the sky turned pale pink. We changed outfits and drove up Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder. Once there, we popped champagne in the dust of the red sandstone trails. Cece & Tom re-read their vows and danced again to the songs of their wedding - and it was clear that they’re stronger and more in love than ever.
“Today and for all future days, I make the commitment to be your partner in adventure. I will encourage your spirit of exploration and walk beside you even if the path is uncertain.”
“I promise to love you without reservation, comfort you in times of distress, laugh with you and cry with you, grow with you in mind and spirit, always be open and honest, and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.”
A year of marriage looks good on you!
