When Britton proposed to Jessica at the end of October she was wearing her favorite Wu Tang sweatshirt... something she was SO STOKED about!
Their sunset proposal happened during their annual trip to Colorado from California. Britton knew that he wanted the moment to be documented to share with family and friends, and of course, to look back on and remember.
Chautauqua is an easier spot to photograph a proposal than you would think because with so many people there taking photos you can hide in plain sight. Even with a 12" camera lens which is a step beyond what most tourists bring!
Jessica is so cute, she was standing on a little boulder the entire proposal - something that as a 5'3" person I can appreciate :) She was so excited when she said yes that she was jumping up and down, but she managed to stay on her little boulder and later we all laughed about it.
After their celebratory photo shoot they left to get ready for a fancy dinner with friends and I went home to chose a handful of photos to text to Britton right away. This is one of the most important parts of photographing a proposal, in my opinion, because I wanted them to be able to send photos of the ring and Jessica's reaction to their loved ones right away. It's news that's just too good not to share.
If you're considering a Boulder proposal reach out to me. As someone who has lived and worked as a photographer here for more than 10 years I love helping to choose the perfect location. I can also make recommendations to help you plan special touches like a favorite celebratory drink or a dinner reservation that will make the day you proposed one of the most memorable days of your lives.
