This beautifully soft and organic, yet colorful styled shoot features vendors local to Boulder, Colorado.
Veronica of Something Borrowed Vintage Rentals filled our venue with a lush red velvet sofa, vintage candle sticks and champagne flutes. Natalie of Avo Ink took two mirrored trays from Something Borrowed and returned them with flawless calligraphy. Veronica also loaned us a soft pink Mrs Box to hold Ashley Schenkein's halo-style engagement ring. Ashley's glittering diamond earrings were the only adornment out model needed - besides a flute of prosecco! The texture of Natalie's invitation suite was divine for the tactile bride who would never choose an e-book over a vintage hardcover copy, who would never choose an e-mail over a handwritten letter. Her designs on soft linen white paper with gold and fuchsia accents were the perfect complement to A Florae's bouquet of coral, golden, and fuchsia roses. Rachel of A Florae read my request to produce a organically shaped and slightly horizontal bouquet, rather than a standard spherical bridal bouquet, and delivered the most exquisite creation. I was truly blown away.
Our venue is The Riverside in downtown Boulder. Only minutes from Pearl Street and Chautauqua Park, the Riverside offers guests all of the best parts of being in Boulder. A bride and groom could easily be married at Sunrise Ampitheater before making their way to a Riverside reception. They could just as easily have a ceremony al fresco on the Riverside patio before heading inside for an intimate dinner among the brick and hardwood interior. A couple could even sneak away for 45 minutes to take romantic portraits at Chautauqua without difficulty. Their patio is shaded by tall trees and Boulder Creek runs beside the property. The ambiance is just lovely. Sara was a joy to work with, making our planning with the Riverside feel effortless.
When I visited Maci Marie Bridal in Louisville, Diane welcomed me warmly and gave me the full run of the store. My stunning Columbian model and I tried on an array of breathtaking dresses, and when we tried the Rowena dress by WToo, we knew there was no need to look any further. Kim Jundt of Kim J Beauty sent us Paige to perform hair and make-up magic. She gave our model's golden-tones skin a soft foundation, a but of shimmer, and a perfectly undone updo - exactly what I asked for and even more gorgeous than I could have imagined. The hair and make-up didn't need a single touch-up, nor did the hair need to be touched even once. It was masterfully done.
The answer is still, and again, love.
