The weather in Boulder is rarely predictable. The safest months are June through October and even then Coloradoans are almost guaranteed an daily afternoon rain in the summer. It's just how we roll. Take Kate and Ryan's mid-March wedding. They could have had a snowstorm, but what they got was a sunny and beautiful 70 degree day. The landscape said winter, but Kate's bare arms and bright smile said summer. This wedding was another wonderful experience working as second photographer to Libbie Holmes. Libbie manages to consistently find the friendliest, happiest and kindest couples - it's magical.
Kate and Ryan's wedding was modern, classic and full of romantic details. From her pearls to her dress, Kate's look was timeless. Ryan's color palette of deep grey and burgundy was the perfect complement to Kate and the creekside landscape. Kate and Ryan did a 'first look' and I honestly couldn't tell you which couples portraits I love more - the ones from before or from after the ceremony.
